Browser Security

Pwn2Own is going on currently. Surprisingly enough, Safari (on Mac OSX) was the first browser to be cracked (and within a matter of seconds). I was under the impression that Macs (and their software) was supposed to be so secure and safe.
After today, Google Chrome was the last browser standing that hadn’t been cracked. To read more about it, go here:

Hulu back on Boxee and XBMC

A few days ago, Hulu announced they were going to block access to boxee and xbmc. This saddened me a little because I am hoping to unlock the power of XBMC once our basement is finished. I’ve got my xbox modified with a 120gb HD and have been having fun with it so far. Today, however, I found out from lifehacker.com that there is a work around for this attempted block. I’m hoping to give this a shot. I also want to try building a boxee box like one I found on lifehacker. I’ll update you with any progress on either project.

Web “developers” who take pride in their sites being all sorts of “compliant” (xhtml, css, html, etc) only to have several errors on their site. If you’re going to take pride in this stuff, at least make it work. My site… I don’t care if it’s compliant or not. I also don’t take pride in it in that manner…

I’m off to eat now. Ginny made something that smells delicious and I can bet that it tastes even better!

The Greatest Album Ever Made*

I can’t stop listening to the latest Foo Fighters album, Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace. It’s been out for almost a year now and I can still listen to it over and over and over again. There are good albums and then there are GREAT albums. Albums in which every song could be heard on the radio (not that the radio should be used as a judge of greatness.) Great albums leave you yearning for the next song, not out of dread of the current song, but anticipation of what is next.

Echos, Silence, Patience & Grace IS a great album.

Also, Foo Fighters know how to rock out live.
